Whether you’re looking to keep a New Year’s resolution or looking ahead to spring and summer, metro Detroit has many unique fitness options ensure that working out is never boring.
Throughout the metro Detroit area there is no shortage of fitness centers that offer your typical workout experience, however, there are also several classes on weekends at other locations that may appeal to those who enjoy working out, but hate going to the gym.
Here are just a few classes that might spark your attention:
Saturdays, 9 A.M.
Ferndale Catfe Lounge

This workout class features Pilates with a twist – friendly cats will be playing and mingling with you as you do your poses. The best part? Every cat can be adopted! House of Pure Vin

Right on Woodward Ave, the House of Pure Vin is teaming up with Yoganic Flow to offer a yoga class unlike any other. Featuring an hour of gentle yoga followed by a selection of wine and hor d’oeuvres, if you’re anything like me, you’ll agree that there’s no better way to end a good sweat session than by treating yourself to wine and fancy foods.

Franklin Athletic Club

Yoganic Flow is offering another exciting yoga class, featuring Vinyasa yoga while glowing in the dark. Unlike your typical yoga meditation music, this 90-minute class will flow to Hip-Hop, reggae, and R&B. Glow sticks and glow-in-the-dark body paint will be provided to make this class as fun as possible.
